Ek9t72 perhaps you should slow down on the keyboard so we can actually discern what the hell you are trying to say

after about 10 passes on the dyno, and fixing a few stupid problems. my car finally started to clean up,we were about half way into forth gear and bang she shut down. it actually sound like we blew off a ic pipe,so we checked everything went to start her up and she would not turn over. comp test showed no comp in cylinder 4,3,2 but #1 was fine. so my buddy went to touch the cam gear and could almost pull it out of the head. both crower cams were broken in about three places,NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE IN MY LIFE! pics up soon, any insight on why this would happen? i'm kind of thinking crower wound know!

was everything in the head torqued down to the PRODUCTS manufactures specs ? also were your valves adjusted properly ? from the sound of it maybe something like a rocker, spring, or valve wasnt secure and when you hit mid way into the rpms the nightmare started. also how were the spark plugs and A/F's

from the looks of things you probably had something fail into the engine to cause that OR installers error we hate to admit it but it happens sometimes to everyone also was that cam cold chilled ??? ( not right name) or cryo-treated

might have been a bad core, they've been known to overlook a few those in QC.

If you want a custom ground camshaft, try bulletcams.com.

We do everything.

are you asking if they were cryo'd as in that being a bad thing? Idk anything about how cams react to being cryo'd, but from what i've read, the treatment is much like shot peening or aneeling metal and realigns the molecules and strengthens the metal to some degree. Please correct me if i'm wrong with that...<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by t . b o z &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">might have been a bad core, they've been known to overlook a few those in QC.

This thread has pretty much turned me off from crower cams...that is ridiculous...

cryo treating is good its better than heat treating and more control. i was asking because it would require a TON of force to break a cryo treated cam

O ok, that's what i figured you were saying
I'm going to cryo treat quite of bit of stuff in my build just for the extra ease of mind. I was shocked when i saw how chepa it is.

dont think so bro, this head was on two setups and never had a problem. both setups were over 500hp. this is not the first time this has happened with crower cams.
