cranking engine by hand
i had my engine built recently. i drove it for a few days and it has been sitting for about two and a half weeks.
no matter how hard i try, i can't crank the engine by hand. i'm doing this to circulate the oil through the engine and turbo
is this normal?

Re: cranking engine by hand (ninesecrx)
thanks for the quick reply.
yeah, the plugs have been pulled out and i did notice that the timing belt has lost some tension on the side facing the front of the car.
any other suggestions.

Re: cranking engine by hand (boostedeg6)
You can also pull the ECU fuse and have the starter crank it over a few times. I just rebuilt my bottom too and noticed it was pretty hard to turn by hand the first few times as well. I assumed it was because my clearances on the mains and rods were on the tighter side of the honda spec.
