cracked manifold?
Hey, can ya'll help me out on something. Does this look like a crack in the downpipe to you? Looks like there might be one going from where the o2 bug was. Also, tell me if everything else looks ok in this kit.

Screw you guys, I'm... going... home.

It looks like a crack to me but only someone who sees it firsthand can tell you for sure. I would recommend that you get rid of that dweeby little air filter. You want a LARGE air filter that can filter A LOT of air without causing A LOT of restriction, not some blingin' little pancake thing that looks cool to stunnas. Just my .20. What size is the IC? What turbo are you using? What engine is it going on? A little more info would help.
this is someones kit i am thinking about buying. It has 5,000 miles on it. Its a full race stage 3 kit with the t3/t67 turbo. I plan on putting it on a built ls or built b16. Also, that air filter is the greddy airinx, i thought they were supposed to be good.

1. Posting a couple lo-res pictures isn't going to get you the responce you are looking for.
2. Steel doesn't usually crack like that, it's too thin and too soft, there would be some marring around the crack. (unless it was a heat related thing)
3. Bottem line, no one on honda-tech is going to be able to give you a reasonable answer with physically seeing the down pipe, if it's not OBVIOUS to you (that it's cracked) when your holding it in your hands, then we can't tell if it's cracked by looking at pictures on the web... I would sugest taking a di grinder, or better yet, a dremel and carefully take a little material off of the "suspect" crack, if you can still see the line, then it might be a crack... It appears that when the hole was being drilled, somone slipped with the drill bit and it made a line in the pipe and stopped when it hit the weld..
4. If all else fails, just run a bead of weld over the line, and call it a day..
I hope this helps.

That air filter should work fine, but most everyone goes with the "k&n style" cone filter.. K&N is the leader in performance hi flow filters..

that definately looks like one of our kits, it just looks slightly abused. its tough to tell if that is a crack or not, but that hole definately should not have been there.
if it is a crack you can send it back to us, and we can fix it.
