Same here

Earl actually recommended that I go with 17 and 19, but over-filing landed me at 18 and 20.

Quick question that I never really looked into....

When doing the oil expander rail, does it matter which way the 'gap' faces? Such as...

_/ \_ or __ __
\ /

I've always went by the ring diagram... but I've wondered if this makes a difference or not. Also, for the OEM rails/exp it recommends doing it 15 deg from the wrist pin for the bottom, 15 deg for the exp, and 15 for the top whereas the diagrams tell you to line the bottom up with the wrist pin location the exp gap 90deg and then the top at 180 from the first in line with the wrist pin location.

Just a little further info would be appreciated... I've never ran into problems the way I set them but it's always good to hear more info pertaining to this.

it doesnt really matter where you put the ring gaps since they do move around anyways.....Im pretty sure the oil spacer ring can go on either way

Those are OEM specs and have nothing to do with this thread. Those are way too tight for forced induction anyways.
