Default CP pistons

I got 85mm cp pistons my friend measure it out to be 84.95 mm. Does CP piston make their piston a little smaller? My bore now is 85.04 mm. Will this work out or am i screw? How much do CP piston expand? I will have to wait to call CP tomorrow as well to make sure any info will help guys thanks.

Where was the piston measured at? Did your friend measure it at the piston skirt?

The piston to wall clearance is built into the piston. Meaning it is smaller than the spec. ie - if your using an 84mm CP piston, you have your cylinders bored to 84.00mm exactly.

yup

Well right now im about .05mm over. I was informed that CP piston makes their piston to wall clearance already into the piston. So the piston size is actually 84.9mm and the .1 gone is the piston to wall clearance which is about .0035". So 85mm piston for exactly 85mm bore. I Guess ima have to go piston skirt coat with swaintech. Have anyone ever use this company before? I called CP today and they told me to go that route. Hopefully everything works out.
