Default Couple Questions

Currently I only have a short ram and an Evo2 on my 99 Si... but once the turbo goes on, I would like an exhaust that looks and sounds more conservative. My power goals are around 260-270 whp.

Will having a 3'' downpipe to an Apexi WS2 hinder performance significantly? What if I had a KTeller 2.5''? I do not know what the KTeller 2.5 sounds like. I think a 3 inch system would be much too loud, correct?

Second, for fuel management, what is required to run an e-manage setup? OBD conversion? The e-manage doesn't seem to be used as much as I thought.

Third, on a motor with 124k miles, should I switch to Mobil 1 Synthetic?

In the order you asked:

Yes, going from a bigger pipe to a smaller pipe is worse then just having a smaller pipe all the way through. I know from experience. Just get a 2.5" dp if you want to run a 2.5" exhaust.

No idea, I don't know Hondas or their engine management.

Yes, inspite of what many people say, it's never too late to switch. It's like a 40 year old saying it's too late to quit smoking. Just be prepared to fix a couple oil leaks.

So all I have to do is put in some Mobil 1 Synthetic instead of my other oil for my next change?

Ok, so I'm hearing that a 3'' exhaust creates better power gains... but I am worried about the sound output.

I find my NA Evo2 exhaust to be too loud and annoying... will a 3'' Kteller with a 14'' resonator be quieter? What about a 18'' resonator?

Is that a serious answer? How will an 18'' resonator affect the sound vs the 14''?

What about performance?
