cooling question

I finally installed my Spal fan w/ shroud. that fan is strong!
I also installed a water temp gauge. I noticed that my fan is coming on at 205*f.
is this a good temp for the fan to come on?

Factory setting is 198 but the temp reading on the ecu is from the head so it's reading a little higher. I turn my fan on at 198 with fanc on s300

but is 205 high enough to damage anything?

205 is not going to hurt anything. My car runs 208 on the highway with the a/c on after extended periods of driving. 220 is about as hot as you want it to get after that your going to have issues
