Default Compression Ration/piston choice

My buddy wants to do a mild FI build on his 00 CTR. I was wondering if the USDM P73AO ITR pistons would be okay for his motor (B16B). It should drop his CR down to around 9.5:1 Also, is there any machining needed to mount this pistons onto the B16B rods or is it as simple as pressing them in?
He plans on going with a used greddy street legal turbo since we are stuck here in Cali and this is his daily driver.
Are there any other pistons that you fellas can reccomend or a better CR goal that he should shoot for. His goal is 225-240 whp, so I think cast pistons will be fine, plus he is on a budget so forged internals are out of his price range.

Shodan, I believe the stock compression is 10.6:1 - 10.8:1
Isn't that too high for our sorry 91 octane? Will detonation be an issue?
