compression ratio questions
few weeks ago, i blew up my engine from running lean and boosting 9psi.
right now, my mechanic is suggesting that i swap to a lower compression piston like 9.5:1 or 10.0:1 from the stock 10.2:1 compression ratio so i could boost safely should i decide to boost 9psi again.
so here are my questions:
1.) if i put in 9.5:1 pistons in there, will it affect driveability and be noticeable? coz if i plan to sell the car in the future i don't intend to spend money again to bring the compression back to 10.2:1 but i'm afraid that the buyer might notice a difference in driveability. will there be a big difference between 9.5:1 and 10.2:1?
2.) what if i just drop it to only 10.0:1, will the 0.2 drop in compression be worth the money and have some advantage already?
3.) i plan to boost 7psi when my engine is finished and probably 9psi on occassion, should i still bother changing to lower compression piston or should i just stick to stock compression of 10.2:1?
by the way, i'm ditching my fmu and will be using the hack for fuel management. standalones would be nice but they cost too much.
any help will be appreciated.

how can a mechanic cause it? i don't get it. i was also thinking that the fmu cause it.
so there's a chance of feeling the difference between 9.5 and 10.2:1 compression, i guess i'll go with the stock pistons again with compression ratio of 10.2:1 so i don't have to worry about future buyer from noticing the difference should i sell the car.
what do you think? anymore?

it wouldnt really matter between the two comp. ratios, if you plan on selling it get whatever is cheaper, both will be fine at 9psi with "the hack"
10.0 and 10.2 are going to be almost the same. dont waste your money lowering the compression 2 points. tune it properly and it should be fine.
