what compression ratio is better for a turbo set up( like 9:1 or 9.8:1 or 12.5:1) the turbo is a t3/t04e, tail bov, tail 38 mm watsegate and im wanting like 400whp in my gsr. je forged 81mm pistons, eagle crank, eagle rods, skunk2 mani, skunk2 turbo cams, acl bearing and arp studs with either a metal hg or a cometic
well it depends on the fuel grade you plan to run. I dont think you're going to find something high enough (while being affordable) to run the 12.5:1, but the 9.8:1 would be a decent option. I'm planning to run a 9.8:1 CP in my new build....details in sig

it could be either one. there are more things than just the compression ratio that contribute to the psi from a compression test. you could get 180 from either 9.8:1 or 9.5:1. if ths is a street car that will be on pump gas, i would build it with 9.0:1.
