Default Compression on boosted engine

do i do this the same way i did it when my car was N/A?
i usually remove the fuse for fuel injection and then crank about 5-8 times each cylinder.
reassure me that this won't damage my turbo in any way please. or is there another way to do it with FI cars? thanks alot guys

take one plug out at a time, and replace after testing that cyl, and keep at full throttle while cranking the engine. (fully open throttle plate)
