Default Cometic is SH**

So i blew my cometic head gasket last Friday and called up cometic on Monday to get another. I told them i wanted it shipped overnight so i could have it on Tuesday. I told them I needed a b16a2 .045 83mm HG...right..."sure thing we will get right to it" they said. So Tuesday passes and i am on the phone on Wednesday morning trying to find out what the hell happened. The lady said they had to make the Gasket and it will ship this morning. I thought "why didn't they tell me that when i ordered it," but anyway Thursday my gasket shows up and of course they charged me $50 for overnight shipping and they sent a 84mm Gasket. (****) Back on the phone the lady tells me they always take a few days to make before they ship and that she will replace the gasket because my order said 83mm and they screwed up. Oh but know i have to pay shipping to send it back and when they receive it they will start making the 83mm and get it out right away

So know i am feeling really good about spending an extra 50 DOLLARS for the wrong gasket to show up late just so i can spend more money to get the right one

That is MOST unfortunate. And people wonder why I've always used 81mm or 81.5mm when it comes to the bore of a sleeved block: LESS WAITING..

If I lose a gasket. Honda is but a 10 minute drive or phone call away.. STOCK.. Sometimes, it just can't be beat.

I had a problem last week with them. They told me they are moving a bunch of stuff to a different building and things are a little messed up right now. I just started calling resellers until I found one with the gasket I needed in stock.

If you pay that ****, you'll force me to call you a ******* idiot!

Hold the wrong gasket till they get your right one to you. Then tell them if they want their ******* gasket, they can pay to get it shipped to them, just like you paid to have the one you wanted shipped to you.

I wouldn't keep my bore to 81mm just because it's easier to get a headgasket!
That's ridiculous.........Just order an extra gasket so that you have a spare at home.

Exactly. I have a spare GE 84mm head gasket sitting in my garage, just in case.

YA we never use Cometic or any aftermarket gaskets.

I guess not alot of people know, but we stock OEM bored gaskets:

GSR OEM H.G.: 83mm, 84mm and 85mm as well as stock 81mm
LS OEM H.G, 83mm, 84mm, and 85mm as well as stock 81mm

We can do custom bore as well for d16 and H-series.

yes we can. 77and 78mm D16 gaskets are common as well. We just dont stock them as much. I personally have a stash of 78mm since I use that in our own car.
