Colder Thermostat?
I was wondering wat kind of colder thermostat i need for my dseries turbo setup becuasei figure that i will be running the motor a lot hotter and i need a colder thermostat to kick the radiator on sooner, wat temp should i get and/or wat brand thanx
I have always been a fan of stock thermostats on any car I own (not just honda). manufacturer's usually set it were it supposed to be for proper operation. too cool might hurt more than it helps, but you can always just add an oil cooler.

I run stock thermo on my d series and its fine. Upgrade later if you need. Its not an expensive part if you do need it down the road. I think a bigger radiator is needed before thermo if you dont have it already.
Its spelled "what" not "wat", by the way

i recently switched from a 160 degree thermostat to a honda OEM thermostat. upgrading a thermostat is really just a waste of money if you have the stock fan switch, plus when you think about it, the stock ecu doesn't stop its cold start correction until the engine coolant is above 185 degrees, so if you run a stock ecu backed standalone, if you get your coolant too cold, you expletive yourself in terms of tuning.

I have my fan wired to a swithc which I have on almsot always unless it's on a cold start. and I run a 160*thermostat vs the stock 170-180. runs a tad cooler. I like it. tuning it was a breeze. Never have any troubles.
