Default cold temps: no top end?

whattup guys

i recently installed the drag gen IV kit on my h23 prelude si.. its been running very well as of late, and since i'm in chicago, the temps have really dropped down.. during the night we see temps of around 20deg f. the car pulls very nice up to around 4K, but after 4K the car doesnt want to rev anymore.. its really slow to pull up the rest of the rev band..basically like i dont have any turbo at all..?? any suggestions/?

hmmm...my car only got stronger with the cooler air...however it did start to detonate because of the denser air

what do you have for fuel and timing management? you shouldn't even be boosting if you don't have any management/tuning. That drag fmu is crap.

Get the ****** tune before the gay *** FMU break something...I got my car tuned in about 35-40 degree weather at 11.8-12.2. So once 80 degree weather hit maybe ill hit the 11.4 range. Hope im safe *it cant blow again*

Maybe
-- Its too cold for VTEC to engage?
-- You're low on oil and VTEC won't engage? (eeeek!)

-Chris

Check all vacumme hoses for leaks and Charge pipes and PRE turbo exhaust leaks.

is it better to tune in cold weather or warm weather? seems like people who have done their tuning in warm weather have higher or lower afr in cold weather

if you tune in warm weather and dont leave room for error. In cold weather you will run leaner prolly and cause problems. So if your tune is conservative you should be ok. Or if your running Uberdata... Tune a warm weather chip and a cold weather chip i guess

I would sell the inline pump and fmu and start saving for at the least a hondata, 255 in-tank pump, and better fuel injectors.. It may take some time, but at least your engine won't be detonated.
