Default Coil on Plug and Fuel Efficiency

Have any of the members here that have experience with COP systems experimented with leaning out their mixtures in vacuum for better fuel economy? I would think a COP system would be able to run much more lean than a Distributed system.

Why would you want to risk it?

your chances of detonating at low load are pretty slim (unless you consider tip into high load). i think the car would prolly let you know it doesnt like what you are doing by hesitating before it starts to detonate.

I am thinking that you can run a much leaner mixture with a higher voltage spark (like in a COP system).
