Default Code 41, primary oxygen sensor???

Ok the good news is that i'm finally boosting. Finished the install today. bad news is that i'm throwing a code 41. I'm running open downpipe with just the primary plugged in. Car is a stock 96 obd2 gsr with basic dragIII kit. Any suggestions?

code 41 is an 02 related check code. It could be because you only have one 02 sensor hooked up.

I also have a 96 gsr with a drag III. I am throwing the same code. How does your car drive under BOOST?

Anyone else with some ideas? I've reset the ecu and it still comes up. Both o2s are in the stock cat. WTF?

Your GSR has two o2's, correct? if so, then apearently the 2nd one isn't getting any exhuast from you running open downpipe....

I had the same problem with my OBD2 GSR. Double check the wiring on the primary. When I looked, it turned out all 4 wires weren't connected.

I'll double check. I was sure i heard a click when i connected the primary O2 back in the harness. Maybe the downpipe burned it up.

Yeah i was thinking i was imagining things when i heard the click. I worked around the clock to put the turbo in all by myself. I was tired, hungry and dirty so i might not have hooked it up right. Oh well i'll check later.

On my car which is OBD1 I threw a code 41. I replaced the o2 with another one I had laying around and that solved the problem. I think what killed my o2 was the fact that when I installed my Hondata I missed a step that caused it to not recognize I was running larger injectors and it barely idled at all. basically it was like plugging 440s into into a stock computer, hehe. Anyway, I had to replace my o2, you might have to do the same. borrow a friends and see if it goes away.

not much else to explain. basically I ran the car rich as hell on accident for a few minutes and it threw code 41. Even after I fixed the fuel problem, it still threw code 41 until I replaced the o2.
