Default code 20 on s300....elictric load detector????

after a long build i started my car and its running pretty well for the first start up but its throwing code 20 ELD....what does this do im pretty sure its the electric load detector in the distributor...but what does this do...the car seems to be running fine....im taking the car to get tunned and just wanted to check to make sure this isnt mager.....thanks for the help.

if your need to know its a b16a fully built converted to obd1 running hondata s300.

I would not worry about it.You should be able to turn it off in the management Im not sure with Hondata but you can with most others.Double check your alt fuse is good and that there is no wires bare anywhere but I have had that code come up with chipped ecus in the past and it was not a mechanical issue. It doesnt effect the running of the car just sets the light off.

ELD is in the main fuse box, it sends an input signal to the pcm, the pcm uses it as a reference to control the voltage reg. I would double check your obd1 conversion wiring, if not then you'll have to replace the fuse box as it is built in. Even though it is not a common problem I have had to replace a couple of them before.

eld sensor is actually in the enginebay fusebox. it measures electric load so that the ecu can compensate by adjusting iacv to keep idle where its supposed to be at.

you should be able to turn it off somewhere in the software, but if not its not a big deal.

I don't mean to threadjack but I have a code 20 as well and when my car gets to operating temp the idle is lumpy. Could this be cause of the ELD? I've been trying to get to the bottom of this for some time now.

I got the same issue w. error code 20 but hondata doesn't point out anything about this issue.

If i use d10 as an wideband input [in my case plx m300], ELD should be disabled from Smanager?

Just disable it in the Smanager software. It's under the MISC tab.
