Default code 20 , no vtec

Just got my car running with a chipped p28 using uberdata. When i first started it i had a code 20 (Eld). Then my friend disabled it in a new chip and it went away.

Only problem that i reallly noticed before ( besides the car feeling kinda slow) is no vtec. Could the vtec have anything to do with disabling the eld? We set the vtec at 4899 ....

also my idle tends to get stuck up around 1.5-2k rpms. Could this be a timing isssue?

I'm gonna triple check for vacuum leaks, but i think its all good.

Just checked continuity between switch and teh ecu and its good. I made a few new connections but nothing else has changed in the last couple weeks, so i dont know what else to look at. Oil level is down to half between marks, but shoudl still be plenty enough.

Whats happening if the cams aren't engagin? Is the map still switching over to the high cam fuel map? ignition? My a/f dips down into mid to high 10s at 5k and sometimes up through 8k in full boost.
