Clocking a turbo
Hey guys, a couple people helped me out on this site (thanks alot) and told me i could clock my turbo so i could choose how it sits. But the problem is, its an rsx greddy turbo and instead of bolts it has a band that holds it together and a guide pin. Would it be safe to grind away that guide pin so i could position it any way i wanted to? Is that band strong enough to hold the turbo together without the guide pins? thanks

Re: Clocking a turbo (SiR99)
its an rsx turbo (t517z) so it sits on top of the manifold, where as i need it to sit on the bottom of my manifold so i could put it on my b-series

Re: Clocking a turbo (SiR99)
i dont see why you wouldnt be able to remove the guide, thats there just so it aligns correctly for the kit (rsx kit) so its a bolt on type deal and then the user doesnt need to clock it correctly
