you can get 300hp stock block just like every other b-series i'm sure. Good tuning is the key. Check out this built b16b...

Yes that was a ctr motor, but... it was rebuilt w/ low compression pistons. I'm not saying it can't be done, but your right Good tuning is the key!

It's basically the same as a ITR motor (I know the differences) just with less displacement. 300+ with proper tuning shouldn't be too hard.

To each his own, but really I don't see any reason why anyone would want to do this.

Maybe some people might be tight up for money at the moment. If i was that individual and was tight for cash, and wanted to boost that particular motor. I would atleast invest in a fatty head gasket to drop the compression down a point like 10.8 to 9.8 to 1. I can't remember who sells the fatty hg either greddy or hks?

Tune that baby though and good luck on your project!

are you referring to someone who has a actual CTR with a turbo?? if so, i've seen 2 on here at one point or another.... can't seem to find the threads....

if you are referring to just the motor, we've got one around here...... sleeved 2.0L b16b...... after a bunch of broken parts and changes, very little of the actual CTR swap remains........ the tranny is now a quaife equipped Si tranny, the cams are also Si i believe.... and obviously pistons/rods were replaced...... as well as the entire valve train with 1mm oversize components....

shame he NEVER drives it.... that should give it away who it is if you're local

Oh, I thought he was thinking about getting a CTR swap and then turboing it, I didn't know he already had a B16B.

rpm95civic:Since you've already got one, I say go for it. Just because you can't find too many other people who've done it, doesn't mean you shouldn't. Good Luck

The US market Si Greddy turbo kit was originaly designed for the JDM b16b. So I'm sure there are lots of turbo'd CTRs in Japan, it's just a matter of finding the info in English.
