chip on piston??
hello guyz.. just wondering would a chip on a piston like on this post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=718866 affect performance? worth buying? TIA

uh yea it will affect performance , you will prob lose compression from it , if not that it might cause detonation .

It depends. If it is a very small chip from where the valve cutouts in the top of the piston makes the edge really thin, then I would say you could file/sand the edges smooth and you'd be OK unless you were making huge power. Can you get a pic of it from the top? That would really tell you how bad it is.

true... but how can u get a chip on a piston? he told me that it wouldnt affect performance at all. but what do i know. lol. that's y i turn to u guyz

its chancey, you can prob just sand it down and take the chance, but i wouldnt do it even to save a few bucks, why's he selling them ? prob becuase that chip.
