Cheap shortblocks is this a good deal?
I found this on a local board and i was curious what you guys thought.

I am not convinced it's the sleeves fault for why people say they split sleeves. I talked with the guy that is selling the cheap shortblocks and he has said on countless occasions that he has made over 300whp on stock sleeves and he said he did a 350whp car all on nitrous about a year ago. He gave me a link to the video of that car and it has stock B20 sleeves:

there have been countless times when b20 blocks go b/c of the sleeves.
if i were to ever built a b20 again i would definately get sleeves. if you
have a built engine, why not spend an extra $1000 to be completely
confident in your setup and not be limited to the 300 whp level or
whatever level it may be.

I would agree with spending another $1000 dollars for sleeves, but what about the all motor guys. I still think this is a good deal for them and the guys that don't want 500 whp. My 0.02

ive had my b20 sleeves crack on me at about 200whp NA
so this is just from my experience i would recommend sleeves
if you plan on doing any kind of serious motor work to either
a NA or turbo. espcially turbo apps.
now if you are just doing I/H/E and minor things like that,
then stock b20 sleeves are fine.

Not quite. There is no core required with that other dude...but I know exactly what you're saying and agree 100%. Why chance a big budget buildup to save a few hundred bucks.
