Changing the fuel pump...
Thinking about changing the fuel pump in my teg. What kinda precautions do I need to take, like am I gonna be exposed to fuel vapors coming from the tank, do i need to worry about bolting it in and causing a spark or something.
Thanks in advance people...

I just got done changing the fuel pump in my crx and although it took me 3 hours it was very straight forward. Just dont fill up your gas tank before you do it. Use common sense and dont have anything that might combust the gas laying to close to your area. You will get a tone of gas fumes but that cant be avoided. The most important thing is to get as much of the gas out of the tank as possible before you take the tank off, it makes it alot lighter and less of a headach. Easy to do but very time consuming. Good luck and I dont think you need to wory to much about blowing it up.
hey man, its total cake. the pump is right below your back seat, which will take you a whole 5 min. to pull out. a couple screws, 2 hoses, and pull it out. i mean, of course dont work by candle light or anything like that, but its easy and pretty safe. id drain the fuel system first. i forgot to do it and spilled a little when i pulled the quick release off the top of the pump.
