Default center sections

How can you tell if a center section is still good?

I have one that I guess the seals blew and needs a rebuild...can't take off the compressor backplate until I get a 3/8th" wrench. It was a turbonetics.

I have a second one that I have been using and it's fine. This is a garrett.

The third one I have is the one that I have to use cuz the other one that works won't allow the turbine wheel and shaft to slide in. It's too tight, so I'm basically using this third cartidge (it's a precision one - oil cooled only) matted to a garrett compressor and a precesion turbine housing.

Now, the only problem with this center cartidge is that I'm not sure if it is still good. I got it from a buddy of mine and the rest of the turbo was ****. The turbine shaft and blades were bent right at the base of the turbine wheel. It's like it got caught and just bent itself out of shape. Would this damage the center section somehow?

Oh yah, the center bearings are out of the second garrett center section that I mentioned.

sorry if this is confusing!!
