Default CATCH CAN THREADS ! ! ! !

Somebody here help me out real fast please. I need to know what the size and the thread pitch is on the two allen plugs on the back of the B18C block. You know the ones that you remove for the Endyn set up. My first couple of threads got screwed up, so I am going to have to make an emergency stop somewhere to get a tap and die. Trying to get ready for BOTI this wekend.

Thanks,

Jason

The Crankcase ventilation hole can be sealed with one of these 3 methods:
1) Aluminum Freeze Plug (34.4mm-34.6mm)
2) Aluminum circular plate epoxied with Devcon Liquid Aluminum
http://www.devcon.com/devconfa...id=34
3) http://www.z10eng.com/ makes a plug.

No it's the threaded hole. Not the one for the freeze plug. It is the one that gets the tee'd off from the bottom of the Endyn can.

No unfortunately. My set goes all the way up to 24x1.5. And that was too small. It looks like it is either 26x1.5 or 28x1.5. Just not 100%, and the taps are likje $60 each, plus overnight shipping to me.

I'm pretty sure its 28MM. The part # for the washer is 12207-634-300 and on the honda parts website it says 28mm. Here's the link...

I gave him a call this morning to have two (2) new fittings sent out to me. He said that he did not know exactly. He said to try Stan at Fast-Turbo. I have called there a couple times and only got a voice mail. Trying to find out so that I can get to BOTI this weekend. I got my digital caliper on the outside (body of the threads) and measured approimately 27.6mm. There is a a tap that I found at Western Tool in Livermore, California (although they have to get it out of the wharehouse in LA, overnight delivery baby). It is a M27x1.5. I am going to try and contact Honda, see if on the "exploded view" of the block, will it show the thread size and or pitch on it.

Thanks again for all the help guys, and if any of you get a hold of Stan tell him to look at this thread and respond if he knows, or call me at: 510-459-7229.

Well decided to go ahead and make my own tap from one of the original block plugs. Took it and grooved my own flutes into it. It took about 45 minutes under the car to complete, but it worked.

Thanks to everyone that responded to the thread, and thanks Earl for taking the time to respond to me man.
