Catch Can Mounting Ideas......Critique Mine
Guys,
I am looking for advice on where the hell I am going to put my catch can. I am going to post up my idea so let me know what you think.
My engine bay is completely full and this was where I was thinking to mount it. This is just above my MSD box and clears the hood no problem.

Now, the plan was to just take a 1" wide piece of aluminum (somewhat thick to hold well) and mount it straight against the wheel well. So it will be squeezed in between the battery and the wheel well as seen here

Wheel well

I would then drill 2 holes in the wheel well putting the bolt through the wheel well first keep it as flat as possible so the tires doesn't rub (or does very little).
So when mounted, it will look like this:

Thoughts? Other Ideas?
Thanks in advance.

You mean put the motor in then install? Why?

Are you going to use the drain back feature? If so then the T has to be higher than the brass block fitting.
Here's mine, I had to cut 2 L brackets, Im not using the drain back feature but I might change my mind.

reason why i suggest to do it later is because whenever I've put motors in, I need all the space I can get. I always seem to be squeezing it in hardcore.

Ah, Gotcha.
Fredo, I like where you put yours. Have you had any issues? Did you mount it directly to the frame? Got any more closeup pics?
Edit, just read what you did. My bad. Got any real closeups though.

yes , use the drainback... i route it top a bung in my oilpan...
the higher the better for the drainback ... your location is fine ... I mount mine where the Harness plugs connect .. there are two 10 mm bolts located exactly the correct distance apart for the moroso.,.. they allow me to bolt it down like the catchcan was made for my car with absolutely 0 modification!!!

Man, if you could send me pics I would really appreciate it. My email is in my profile. Or just post them here.
Art, I have no idea. Anyone else having an issue seeing my pics? I see them just fine.

Just a question about that oil catch can, is that the Endyn one with e drain back feature? I am wondering what kind of baffling did you use inside the can or does it already come pre-baffled?
I am currently running open atmosphere on my engine setup and I am wondering if it would be beneficial for me to run the Endyn can on my JRSC'd motor...

Exactly. It's "Endyn" by the way.
Thanks for the pic. I am going to play with it next week since I am a bachelor for 5 days.

Thanks for the reply, so has this catch can been proven to be an actual working can compared to the ones that are for the "bling" effect. I saw it on the Endyn site and have been wondering to get it for my setup.
Also, just a question on how you set up the can, will one of the lines be from the valve cover breather? Or should I just get a little K&N filter on the valve cover?
