Default catch can (I know I know)

I have searched and it seams there are different wasy to hook up a catchcan. I have H22 Turbo and am I right in saying:

I hollow out the PCV Valve
Run it to one port on the catch can
have the other port on the valve cover that normally goes into the intake run into the other port on the catch can
is this all that is needed?

I too have an H22 turbo and am in the process of setting this up. the point is to have as many outlets as possible for blow-by gasses to escape the valve cover. if you only have the pcv outlet and that other outlet (on the upper left corner) you may not be giving the motor enough area for gases to escape. you may not want to hollow out the pcv cuz you might get a lot of oil along with gas into the catch can, i'm not sure though. the best thing to do is to drill and weld fittings in an area where the valve cover is baffled so you don't get a lot of oil in the catch can (and lose oil). pull your valve cover off and find good places for that.

I'm saying that the people who don't run enough ventilation are flirting with disaster.
