Default Carsound CAt

i was wondering how well these cats hold up. ive heard some rumors of them not lasting long. is this true? and is it straight through?

The Car Sound cats are universal staright through design. We've never had any problems with them.

Does these high flow cats need to be welded on or their bolt ons???? Like Carsound, Random Technology, etc. Thanks for the help.
