Re: Cars suck (On Point EK)
maybe it's just my cars that suck.
I'm sick of:
1) waiting on parts
2) getting ripped off
3) buying stuff I end up not needing
4) wasting all my money on cars
5) working on cars
The only thing I like to do is drive cars. Everything else associated with them sucks.

Re: Cars suck (VTC_CiViC)
I would be so nice to just own one decent stock car.
No worries about theft, vandalism... no more grease on my hands...
My integra hasn't been correctly running since the middle of last year, and my crx spun a rod bearing in Feb...

Re: Cars suck (dustin)
Hey guys...thats what I love about cars...You would not get that great feeling when things go right after so much heart ache. I cant tell you the countless hours of things going wrong and dissapointments ive had, but when it comes together, its a great feeling. Also you need to learn from all problems and mistakes. Do it once and never again. Takes a lot of the heart ache out the second time around. Keep your heads up

Re: Cars suck (Arturbo)
Yeah, that always happens. If they say it's coming in a week, be happy if it gets here in a month. If you think it'll cost $300, work until you have $500.
If I had a stock car that was fast, I'm not so sure I would enjoy it as much....and I would probably end up turboing it or upping the booooost! It's a vicious cycle.

Re: Cars suck (NotQuiteJdm)
i think that too many in the import business lack a certain level of professionalism. i don't know why, but too many times i have found this to be the case. waiting on parts, **** going wrong..etc...
btw, the guys i have bought stuff from here, especially viren and ben, have been great!
i dunno. i just started doing my own work, so its very exciting for me. i have hit plenty of frustrations in the past. its hard to see the car that you love that could be bringing you so much joy being broken and not working and pissing you off...it's even worse, i think, when someone else f-ed it up. that is what sucks about modding.
however, it is also immensely cool when things work out well...especially when your own two hands had someting to do with it...i am really looking foward to that.
dustin, you've done some beautiful work. especially that fuel system - it was gorgeous. i hope you're not feeling too down...
keep the faith. and also, if youc an afford it, buy a decent car and keep it stock. i recommend a wrx. it helps alot.

Re: Cars suck (dustin)
Although i love boost, i am enjoying the days left untill the turbo goes on. No worrying about leaking oil, vacum lines coming off, blowing pipes off, boost spikes, blowing motors, cracked manifolds, breaking axles, blow diffs, wondering if every noise your motor makes is it gettting ready to blow up. For some reason the turbo on the prelude never scared me, but the thought of blowing up my gsr scares me to death, even with hondata and low boost. Oh well, im a big *****.
