One of my buddys with a 95 turbo gsr car is running like crap. The bolt on his crank pulley backed out and the belts came off. I think he might have jumped a tooth on teh cam gear. I haven't been able to look at it yet. He told me the car will rev fien with the car in neutral but when your driving it with a load on it it stumbles and has no prower and if you give it full throttle it will just bog and die. Any suggestions?

 

first off I would make sure the crank key way did not get messed up, then I would line the crank, up to tdc, and check that the timming is line up, then I would go from there. Jason

 

Would the timing being off by a tooth cause this problem.

 

With the timming off the car may have even bent valves that can cause problems. Jason

 

definietly looks like bent valves what is his vacuum look like on the boost guage really low or what now.

 

Can the valves hit the pistons just being off by one tooth.

 

depends on decked head, piston size and compression.... jun stroked b16 with jun head gasket. It went off a tooth, didnt bend a thing.

 

b18c1 9:6:1 comp, stock head gasket, block and head not decked that I know of.
