with car came with a wideband sensor
Correct the VX hatchback came with the 5 wire wideband sensor. The actual ecu's from the VX can read the wideband readings correctly, but hondata was not able to chip to ecu's for some reason. So theortically you could just use the factory 5 wire sensor, feed it into the hondata prepped ecu and datalog in romeditor wideband readings without purchasing a fjo/tech edge/motec units. I had one of the VX ecu's, but sold it after finding out hondata would not support it.
Yeah it requires a heater control for the sensor, which from my understanding is built into the ecu. I am not sure what hondata supports in terms of the ecus.
Also the HX.
Lots of other cars have them. Supposedly most of the new Audi's have them. Porsche uses widebands in their turbo 911, which is supposed to be the most favorable since it is very accurate.

Thats what I was getting at. The stock ECU could control the VX wideband, but soon as you hook up a Hondata or AEM it wouldnt work right? All O2's require a heater to work properly. So, without the stock ECU or a Controler Box your readings would be way off....or the VX wideband might not work at all. In big bold red letters in the FJO installation guide it says that an unpowered sensor will be damaged and not work properly.
