Default Cannot lean out Uberdata idle

Played with it for a while today.. Stock o2 sensor is no longer in the car. Here are the screenshots from Uberdata. 450ccs in an LS w/ 255lph walbro. Running pig rich all the time no matter how much fuel i pull from the table. wideband maxes out at 9:1AFR. Tried pulling up to 75% fuel and still same thing.. probably one of the settings on the Misc tab?

Thanks in advance!

you forgot to press apply when you put 450cc in the 'new' injector size window

Your fuel modifiers are way too high. Suggested value is 53, you have them at 100. Try putting them at 60 and see what happens.

nope, you can leave those alone and it will work. especially at idle

start over and follow the basemap instructions on the booberdata site. That map wasnt scaled for the 450s. The richest part of the vac portion is going to be under 400 (lower right) not 681

That’s exactly what mine is doing. The thing is if mechanically something is causing a low vacuum then it will run rich because of the low vacuum condition.

ok, well first make a real basemap following the basic instructions.

Then tell us what you have changed on the motor since last startup

Thanks.. just created a new map. Will try it and post feedback. Also going to check for vacuum leaks to see why I'm not hitting the full -20hg vacuum.

Yea your vac is definintly way off. You probably have a leak. Also the reason you couldn't change the afr is because you are adjusting the wrong columns if its idling at -10. Notice how lean you had the columns up to the -13 column, but then the -8 column is way rich compared to it.

Got the same probleme but with 680cc, running rich as hell, take a ride than engin run lean as hell once temp got up.

I still play with it, but went in closed loop for daylly drive.

Uberdata 1.66 doesn't work well with a 3 bar map. I had to manually convert to 1.7 and retune.

Basically -20" of vac doesn't give you enough res to tune idle. If you convert to 1.7 you will have -27" of vac columb, which will allow you to tune your idle. You also cannot change your first or last map scalers since it is the voltage refrence for the code.

UD 1.66 UD 1.7+ (with 3 bar)

What vacuum level do you idle at?
Up here at 5000ft most cars idle at 15", even
lower with cams.
Make sure you're pulling fuel from the right spots.

take a look at the new uberdata scripts. There are scripts now that allow you to correct warmup.

The UD guys get shitty when you post about UD on HT.

But their boards are nearly dead. I've got the exact same problem with my idle.

Car starts up great, 14.5/14.6@1500rpm, then the rpms drop to about 900 and it idles at 14.2, then slowly gets richer until it drops below 10.00 and it just reads RICH.

Any of you uber guys feel like helping out a noob feel free to PM me.

BTW, I tried tuning back the TPS, Cold, and Main enrich and it does the same thing. Is this somethign I should change in the 0-100 20"vac cells?

Not trying to hijack the thread, just throwing out what I've tried and trying to get help as well.

Do you have a datalogging cable? If so datalog the car at an idle (if possible) and find out what RPM/VAC the car is at when at idle, and then lean out that part of your fuel map.

ECU is setup for datalogging via USB, but I can not get it to read any values from the ECU currently.. any other ideas? Or any ideas on why it will not read USB would be fantastic. I have some program that is supposed to map the USB to a serial port, but I still can't get it to work.

Are you using the same part #'d USB cable as the writeup you looked at?

try adjusting the columns further over if your boost gauge is reading a low vacuum like -10. Obviously if you are making changes in the idle section and it doesn't effect anything and your boost gauge reads something different than -18 or -20 then you probably need to adjust the columns around -10in/hg.

didn't you see the thing i wrote about the new scripts? Try using the new ECT script to adjust your warmup afr's.
