i was thinking about that too, but i dont really want to risk any drop valves. which one will be better ,the type with a letter or the type with a number. with the hp goal that i want i might need to push a little over 20lbs. will the b's be a better choice?
Dont know too much about the a's. My brothers Turbo integra has blox type b's and loves them. Great powerband, and more power at low boost. Before he threw in GE cam gears and blox type b cams he had OEM b16/gsr. Made 411@17psi then with just type b cams it made 455whp @15PSI.
tuners and competition have the same cam profile. the only difference is the lobe is wider ( think wider tires) for a better contact patch. performance HP wise no drastic differences.
Your HP goals are easily attainable on those ctrs, why bother with aftermarket cams when you can have OEM reliability and performance. IDK i just like oem for setups that arent just all out drag cars. yeah yeah i know you can make more power on same boost with an aftermarket cam setup i just dont see the need for them unless really wanting alot more power and a 3076 will do 450-500 easily on stock configuartion cams IMO

We have been having really good results lately with the brian crower stage 2 and 3 cams FWIW. Picked up 10-15 whp over Pro 1's with some midrange loss on the stage 2's at 30 psi with an s366. The stage 3's wont lose anything midrange to the pro 1's, and will make even more power. After seeing 3 different customers break Pro 1's in a months time on the dyno I have been looking into other alternatives..
in the last year I havent seen blox produce anymore competition cam lobes.
all cams that are in stock n that i've seen arrive are all tuner series. Quite possibly, there was no difference in performance or longevity/cam wear do they discontinued the competition series. Not said by Blox, but Since im there practically every week, I havent seen any competitions on shelf for a long time
