alright... ive got crower stage 1 cams in my lsv build, but just this weekend i had a turbo kit installed...the dyno results where not looking too good and i was told it is my cams that where causing the power loss. the graph looked like someone scribbled across the page. would i make more power by swaping out to gsr cams? or is it just something else that is wrong? my all motor lsv build made 169 whp and with the kit installed and tuned it only made 186 at 7psi...now that just doesnt sound right to me... i looked at some old dyno sheets where skunk2 stage 2's lost power and went swapped out for gsr's it gained power... let me know what you guys think.... thanks

I think you have a lot more problems than your cam if you only made 17whp after installing a turbo kit.

 

i was running fine before the install... after taking it off the dyno i took it for a drive and it pulled like no other... that and i ran it against a b16 turbo del sol and i pulled on him... so maybe the dyno just read right or something

 

b18b block (stock)
b16a head
crower stage 1 cams
portflow dual valve springs/retainers
arp head studs

 

post the dyno graph. then we can tell alot more about what "may" be happening

 

sorry but i cant get one at the moment... i think im just going to swap out to gsr cams. i found someone that will sell me a set for 50 bucks...

 

if it pulls a lot harder than it did before the turbo install I would almost bet the dyno was messed up....

 

it does pull a lot harder... but it feels like i lost top end after swaping out my stage 1's for gsr's...
i did gain about 20 something lbs. of tq with the gsr's... i know sit at 167 lbs. of tq...

 

i found a couple of leaks...fixed them and still no high end power... i keep losing boost through out the top end....7..6...5..

 

i had better top end with the stage 1's....but with the gsr's i gained in my mid range...

anyone have any ideas on where to looking for problems...?
