Cam for a supercharged B16?
The Honda gods have smiled upon me lately, and I have basically picked up a JDM B16 swap for free, and found a screaming deal on a Jackson Racing supercharger. I'm just not sure what to do for a cam. Here are my plans in general for the rest of the motor...I'm going to run 15psi, and have 9:1 pistons...Obviously it's going to be rebuilt, machine work, port/polish, etc....I just seem to have hit a wall with where to go for a cam...Any ideas?

Re: Cam for a supercharged B16?
on the supercharger, dropping a lot of compression doesn't work the same way as in turbocharged cars. SCs like compression, but considering that you still need to keep detonation at bay, there are other ways. You need some sort of intercooler or aftercooler, and then there is the issue of making sure you have the right pulleys in order to work your supercharger. (make sure the supercharger can effectively do the amount of power needed for "15psi".) if it is not, even with inter/after cooling, you may run into some detonation issues.
What I'm saying is, before you even GET into cams, make sure the rest of the system is right. So far, w/ that low of a compression, you'll get a very peaky powerband on the supercharger.
