There offering me a xspower sidemount manifold, 70 trim turbo(just says turbo charger on it), wastegate, oil lines and fittings, downpipe and coupler for $400. And im really tempted to buy it but just dont want to have any problems......

your going to get the same general concensus here on H-T that the ebay kits suck *** and dont use em. Manifold, Turbo, wastegate and bov are the parts you want good quality out of. Ebay intercoolers and piping etc are ok to use.

usually the cast iron ebay manifolds are pretty good! i ran a rev hard knock off cast iron, with a real 2.5 rev hard downpipe and fitment was fine. and ive run an ebay turbo too, it lasted 20k then took a poo but i had it rebuilt by blaastperformance and never had a problem with it.

So your ebay turbo/manifold lasted 40k miles. I guessits really a gamble with em. What brabd was it xspower, powerxs, etc.

ROFL! Every good ebay/ssac/obx/xs thread has a few requisite "I know a guy" posts. Good stuff. I believe there is a very set formula for these types of threads:

1. OP asks some stupid ****
2. The first poster makes a clear, concise answer. The thread should be done at this point, but it inevitably continues.
3-9. Some other rando's come in and agree with the 1st poster, usually in a less grammatically acceptable manner.
10. The tenth poster "knows a guy"... Look out SFWD class, "some guy" is coming to a track near you, and he's equipped with XS Powa!

Ex:

<OP> Hai guyz, am I doing it rite?!
<1st poster> No.
<2nd poster> ebay/ssac/obx/xs sucks ***. dont buy it
<3rd-9th posters> i agree with the 1st poster. i have zero empirical evidence to support my opinion, yet ill still continue to go with the trend because it allows me to rack up posts and inflate my e-rep. when it comes down to it, i dont really possess the mental capacity to contribute anything useful to this thread, this forum, or this world in general, so you can probably just disregard anything ill ever have to say.
<10th poster> y0, this dude down the street from me runs 6's with that turbo y0. its hella tight. w0rd to yo motha. piece out snitches.

you should also look into the AFI kit. Very good quality and cheaper than the peakboost or full-race
