built ls vtec Q's 56k no no
ok here is my current setup
82mm ls block (STOCK SLEEVES)
gsr main girdle machined to fit
eagle rods
82mm 8:8:1 wiesco pistons
acl bearings
all new oem honda gaskets and seals(including headgasket)
arp head studs
GE block guard
gsr cams
stock b16 head
type r intake ( mildly ported)
.60 trim garrett
2 diff manifolds to choose from
gsr trans new synchros
power goals are 400+whp
the only things i hae left to get are:
bigger intercooler
1000cc injectors
lsd
and new wastgate
here is the car in its previous state:

its current state( the engine anyways)

my questions are:
i have 2 manifolds
a brand new xs power ramhorn( can i make braces for it? )
or a cheap cast log manifold
i was thinking the cast mani would not do to great for my power goals.
will a 38mm wastegate suffice?
i know stock sleeves will hold 400whp but for how long?
car is not my dd and will be beaten when i do drive it

The cast manifold will get you to your power goals but not as easily as the ramhorn. The only downfall is the xspower unit. Might last for a year, might last for a week. You never really can tell. As for braces, they might help but only if they are in the correct places. If you have a welder and knowledge to do it, then go for it. If you dont wanna have to worry about the mani cracking then the log should do fine as they rarely crack. A 38mm wastegate is ideal for your setup and the stock sleeves should hold ok but it really all depends on the tune. Thats what makes the difference between a strong sleeve and a cracked one. Also, what kind of clutch are you getting. I didnt see that in your list. You will need a larger map sensor as well to reach 400whp.
They will hold as long as the tune is dead on. If the tuner is not the best, then dont do it. 82mm pushing 400whp seems scary with a incompetent tuner.
tuner is adam hopkins.
using ectune
he has tuned stock h22 t oover 500whp.
im confident in him he had tunned 100's of cars and they all seem to do great!
got a omni power map sensor
and acl 6 puck clutch
