built D16Z6 turbo!
ok i have a civic with a built d16z6. i just wondering what kind of power i can expect for this set up, here a list
d16z6
block hot tanked, honed, resurfacedn notched.
head hot tanked, resurfaced, 3 angle valve job, new stem seals
aem fuel rail
aem fpr
880cc precision injectors
dsm resister box
eagle h-beam rods
vitara 75mm low comp pistons
new acl and main bearings
new king thrust washers
new piston rings
16g turbo
skunk2 catback
aluminum radiator
act clutch
it is street tuned on 8psi on e85 right now. i was wondering what it would make(estemate) on 15psi, 18 psi, and 20 psi. i wanna keep it safe but get what i can out of it at the same time.
thanks everyone! oh ya its in a 94 rhd coupe
handcommand chipped p28

I would guess somewhere around 300-320ish depending on how well that turbo performs and what exhaust your running, get it tuned and the dyno will tell you

Vitaras are junk IMO. They arent meant to make huge amounts of power. The power you make with that 16g will be fine with vitaras.

^pretty much. I never understood why people do 450+whp street cars with toyo proxie 4's or boost by gear.
get it to hook with 300whp and you will **** on about 95% of cars out there

so 300 whp is pretty save for this setup then? cuz that sounds legit to me. i had fun with 261 whp in my first turbo civic

Tons of people run that stuff, without issue...

Re: built D16Z6 turbo!
i myself melted the intake reliefs off of two vitaras, and put so much heat into them they got swollen up and murdered my cylinder walls. im not blaming the piston, all it takes is a little too much timing.
the car still ran great how ever, 150psi across, i only tore it down because of unrelated failure. lol
