Default Built bottom end B18A, Low end low end acceleration/rev problem

Motor: B18A with JE 9.2:1 .10 overbore pistons, Eagle rods, GE block guard
Turbo: Garrett T3/T04 turbo, .63 a/r, Fabworks manifold, 3" downpipe, TiAL 38mm wastegate. No intercooler piping has been installed yet

Problem: wastegate is open right now due to the side hollow bolt fitting broke. after starting the engine to make sure oil is supplied and everything is in order, the car has issues accelerating on the low end, and has issues revving from idle to about 3000 RPM. After 3000 RPM, it'll rev up, until of course it hits idle to 3000 RPM.

I am mainly thinking it's due to lack of back pressure because the wastegate is open, however, I'm not gonna close the w/g due to the side port is not hooked up.

My question is, when you boosted guys have the w/g open all the time, do you have issues at low end revving? What advice can you guys give?

Thanks much.

Is it just lacking power on the low end, or is it actually struggling to rev?

I'd try changing the spark plugs.
Also, did he upgrade his injectors? it might be pushing to much fuel. it would help a lot more if i knew what types of sounds it was making...
Tony isn't tuned either is he? What ECU is he running? Stock P75?

And to answer the main question.. You shouldn't have a rev issue because of the lack of back pressure, when its idle'n you might notice it sounding like its going to die if that but once you give it a little gas it should be fine.
