Default Built block, not boosting yet?

I have a gsr block all ready to go turbo and I was thinking about about swapping it in and driving it in the meantime, while i build up my turbo setup.

81mm 9:1 JE
Eagle Rods
ARP Rodbolts
GE Blockguard
New Bearings and Seals

Has anyone driven with a low compression motor while waiting to go turbo. If so, could you tell me what it will feel like and if i need to trim fuel settings and such. thanks

To give you an idea a friend of mine has a built B16 running 8.8:1 compression and when he is out of boost the car moves fast enough(IMO) that he can still pass most cars on the highway. Anyone else have any experience with this (by the way the motor is in a CRX so...)

oh man, when my gsr was at 11:1 compression, it was fucken fast!! it was basically built for all motor, had cams and all that. I switched over to 9:1 for my turbo setup and daymmmmmmmmm!!! what a difference it made. you'll notice a huge difference. be prepared....

i plan on doing similar mods and going 9:1 for a little bit as well, is low compression wihtout boost driver friendly? is there any critically bad things about it besides the fact that it will slow you down a little?

The LS comes stock with 9.2:1 compression, so while it will be slower, its not gonna be unbearable by any means.

Thats gonna be weird for me since I upped the compression on my boosted motor. And im going to be driving N/A for awhile, so it shouldnt be too bad.
