Default Built B18C1 engine pics

Here are the newest pictures of our EG Civic turbo buildup. This is a 94 B18C1 going in a 92 Civic CX. Specs are on the website. http://www.turboeg.tk

Right now we have a new T-25 turbo but it isn't capable of our HP goals so we are looking to upgrade to a t3/t04e, possibly an SC61.

Thanks!

We decided that the money was well spent going into an EMS. Our HP goals are within the capability of stock sleeves and good tuning should keep it reliable.

I would give the head a good cleaning and clean out those exhaust ports while it's off. Looks good though.

Any recommendations on what to clean it thoroughly with? It's mostly oxidation and thats a pain in the *** to clean up. We are probably going to run it as is for now, and take care of the entire head when it comes off later for work. In the future we are upgrading the valvetrain, port/polish, and 3 angle valve job. When it's rebuilt for that, it will be a better time to really scrape it clean.

I've heard that some blockguards have caused overheating problems. I've heard the GE guard flows better than most and doesn't have problems. All of this is word of mouth so I can't back up anything yet. Soon enough I'll be able to let you know how the GE block guard performs. As far as other reliability issues, I don't see how a properly installed guard could create any.

Nice build.

I did almost the same build-up on my D16Y8, the GE blockguard hasn't caused me any overheating problems.

Good luck reaching that with the T-25.

I'm glad you realize that you will need a larger turbo. A 50 trim with .48ar turbine is right up your ally.
