Built 01 GSR will not start?????
Okay my friend has an 01 GSR that we built the motor in. The setup is as follows:
B18C1
GE 84.5mm sleeves
Wiseco/Endyn Pistons
Eagle Rods
ACL bearings
Ported and polished head
Ferrea valve train
GSR cams
7?? cc injectors from CPracing.com
Honda Resistor box
GE fuel rail
Aeromotive FPR
Hondata S100 with boost
Stock map sensor
Precision SC54 turbo
Okay so the problem is this. The car started right up and was driven 2hrs on the stock basemap to get tuned. The car had a solid check engine light but ran. Upon connecting the laptop to the Hondata unit, smoke came outta the Hondata and burned. The injector driver portion was fried in the ECU.
I sent the ECU back to hondata and they replaced it. The car would then restart but was running so rich that it was dumping gas into the oil pan. As soon as you would go into boost the car would die. Somtimes you would have to unplug the map sensor for the car to even start. It was also idling at around 2,000 rpm and the vaccum was low.
So I just replaced the rings, Main bearings, and Rob bearings yesterday just to make sure nothing was damaged from all the gas. Now after getting everything back together the car will not even try to start. It is getting gas and spark but the plugs are just drenched. The timing is dead on. What is the problem here. I also had Boosted Hybrid come look at it but he could not figure it out even. Is there anyone out there that can figure this out. Or know of a shop within 2 hrs from Scranton, PA that can get this car running?

have you tried a stock ecu with it???
also you might be blowing out the spark because so much fuel is gettin in the cylinders.

My first instinct was the gas blowing out the spark as well.
Not sure he would want to run a stock ECU on large injectors. Sounds like a shitty basemap. If the check engine is solid, it is running on the backup processor so it will run RICH as hell, especially with huge injectors. Sounds like it isn't reading the rom or the interface box cable isn't hooked up or damaged. Just a thought.

Does the interface box light up? What size injectors?
I like the you're using the backup honda map theory. This means your car thinks it has 240cc injectors in it and really you have whatever size is in there. Plus that map is extremely rich anyway, so you're probably down in the 1:1 a/f range

I had Boosted Hybrid try to change a few things but the map sensor reading is messed up so we couldn't even get that far. You can run the car with the map unplugged and it will run better than with it plugged in. Maybe he can shed some light on this topic.

Ah, that would be a negative ghost rider.

No, it acutally can go in both ways- common mistake on rebuilds. Good luck.

no it cant go in both ways, unless you hammer it in...
the distrubutor has 2 tabs on it, one is fatter than the other so they can only go in one way...
