No blockguard. If you're set on a GT and have the funds then look into the GT30R
BTW: 450whp and minimal lag is not a good combination Traction = NONE

your engine will not last long with stock sleves..... i know there has been higher hp numbers out there. but if you dont have your car tuned by the tuner god, its only going to last a few runs at that power especially wit stock sleves and no block guard.

I'm looking for the same whp goal in the same setup that you have.only one thing is different, i've got stock bore 81mm, 8.8 cr pistons and forged rods..
Most of the guys recommend me T3/TO4E 57mm trim, but i don't know if this turbo is really best for my setup..I'm looking for turbo which is cheap and have fast spool, like 4k rpm (full boost) but i need more advices...I can get this turbo with all taxes and shipping for 800$ (shipping to europe is damn expensive)

if you have the money to drop on a GT series then DO IT!!
If not i would look into picking up a used 57trim...for cheap and buying a ball bearing upgrade!!

I had a b16 81.5mm CP Pistons, Eagle rods pro tuned. Run 20Psi with T04E 57trim and tha car run nice but since I drive very hard and race alot the sleevs cracked.

I would just put a GT35R on it and call it a day. You will have enough turbo if you ever decide to sleeve a motor and make more power on less psi with it than the GT30. Pretty much everyone running 400whp on b16 have either a gt35r or sc61, you just cant go with with either one of those turbos.

I have the solution....may be the same price as doing your own build without sleeves, but my block is already sleeved and complete!!!!!!!!

You detonated and/or it was tuned properly, period.
I've been running around for a week on 33 psi on an SC61 and I normally daily drive it at 17 psi on pump gas. No cracked sleeves, and contrary to what Importordomestic, and his wealth of first hand knowledge, belives your motor will last a long time at 450 WHP on stock sleeves.

Re: Building a 450whp B16 (turboEGhatch)
I have a 60-1 t3 b16a built, stock bore with a darton sleeve kit. The 60-1 sucks compared to my 18g. The 18g made 356whp at 5500rpm, 60-1 was never dynoed but hondalooder says full boost of 18-19 psi at 7000rpm. Pull hard up top but you have to beat on the motor. Plus, no boost in 5th at 60 mph on the highway, give it gas a wait a long time to boost. Its a 60-1 t3 .70-.63ar. 18g spools 18 psi quick. Hope this helps.

HA! That sucks almost as bad as stock sleeves apparently suck.

I personally dont use my build civic for daily driving so I don't really worry about breaking sleeves. I myself had your same goals and had mine pro tuned. 1 week later boom sleeves gone. So just take that how you want it. You could get lucky but why rely. Build now save later.

I see a lot of people running their GT30R and GT35R with 0.82 ar turbines, but this is on B18C's. I haven't seen a lot of B16 dynos with 0.82 ar turbines.

That is what i also where thinking whil it spool up on a b16 and this only for drag not for daily drive.

this is untrue. with forged pistons, new rods, and new cams a stock b16 block and can hold up to 500whp DD with np. BUT you have to and i cant stress this enough need to have a tuner GOD tune the car just right.

TRUE. sleeves, blockguard etc... dont mean jack if ur tuning isnt right.
