Default builder called it quits. shop shutdown.

Most of you remember what happened a few weeks ago with me and 1320customfab. But about 1 week ago, Lo called it quits and shut down shop! Im not sure if it had anything to do with me, he told me that business was getting slow and after 7 years he was getting out. I feel sorry for both Lo and Dave from Gnetix that worked there. But more sorry for dave because he was renting his lift from lo, hope he can finish the rest of his business. The last day i saw Lo, he gave me a couple of wastegate flanges.

I had a problem with my car after that, and i gave him a call and left a message- he never called back. So im guessing im probably never going to hear from him or see him again. But I fixed the problem though, it was my powersterring line touching my belts so i zip tied them down so they wouldnt hit anymore. Other then that, the engine seems to be doing okay.

Im getting the wierdest gringing on my right side break rotor, lo thought it might have been a rotor screw gringing against it. He grinded the screw down but that didnt work, im pretty sure it was the axle he put on that side.

Oil presure is starting to go down a bit. When i first got it back, it would read about 49-50psi @ 3k rpms. Now its reading about 40 @ 3k rpms. Maybe rings are fully seated, and i need an oil change--getting close to 3k miles.

Anyways, just thought yall would want an update on the situation.

hes probably still seeing the guy in his sleep...trying to forget him calling and pestering. to be honest, i thought you were the ******* (<--PrecisionH23a) in this guys first few threads. now though, this guy is just flat out obnoxious. and to the OP: i really hope that you are not happy about this guy closing up shop. he really doesnt sound like that bad of a guy at this point. either way--problem solved. your car may never run right, but youll never find this guy again.

Just giving an update to the situation. As far as lo being a good dude, yeah he is, but im not the only one that had problems with his work. Now that hes gone, and real race teams are telling me about his work ethics (they dont want to be known, so i wont say any names) i realize that him shutting down shop isnt my fault. I mightve been the straw that broke the camels back, but there were a lot of other people that had shotty work from him. I hope everyone that was involved with him got there cars back finished, and in well working order.

Oh, and the car has about 2300 miles on it, i need to find someone that does good welding so i can have my piping fabricated. After that im hoping to get the turbo on, but im still not sure if the engine is strong enough.

everyone has to remember its paying customers like Mr.Hankey that keeps these businesses going. If you dropped 4-5 k on a car, you would hope for it to be done right and within a reasonable amount of time.
