Default Broken Turbo Manfold

While driving through town today, not in boost at all, my car got much louder. I pulled over to see what happened and heard a scraping sound. Popped the hood and saw this:

My Tial wastegate dragging on the ground... Lame *** TurboXS weld snapped.

So now I have to buy a new one, any suggestions?

I'm not surprised it happened either, but I'm a poor college kid so I buy what I can afford haha. I'm going to try to weld it but if I mess up or something I'll be buying a new one. Sucks to have my car out of commission mid-summer.

I personally run a spoolin performance log and have had no problems with it as of yet. When i was b series i ran a pfab log and had no problems with it either. Which manifold you choose really depends on budget, hp goals, space etc., you will just have to look around and see what suits your setup best. Funny i had the same manifold break in the same place as yours did.

Go autoworks is a sponser on this site, they have great stuff.

This was even one of those "braced" XS power ones.

Fixed. Turbo XS makes pretty quality stuff, XS Power is CDM to the max.

Personally I would suggest spoolin performance. Log mani + downpipe + wastegate dumptube for 575, depending on the budget you have, as your downpipe might fit differently with a different style of manifold.

Bump for a local.

also be prepared that if you end up changing the manifold, you will need to change the dp, dump tube and possibly IC piping adding more costs.

again all of this could have been avoided in the first place with a quality mani

Well I welded the manifold today, just until I can afford a new one. Plan on gettin a spoolin performance quick4 in the future, but until I have the money this will do. It's also heat wrapped now.

It's not the prettiest weld, but it will work.
