Default broken tranny pics

just got to run my new car last week for the frist time and made one decent pass with a bad 1/8 mile and ran a 11.14@136 hitting the rev limiter right before the line.next round it pulled really hard in first and had a 1.6 60'.then,when i shifted into second, right after i hit the gas,the tranny let go.i am pretty sure it could have been a pretty decent 10 second pass.anyway,it is hard to tell in he pic,but the bell housing cracked and the countershaft gear broke pretty bad and the ring gear broke in several places.enjoy!

i think the flex of the case may have caused that

on the high(er) hp hondas the tranny cases flex....then the teeth seperate and then break....could have been the other way around...w.e.

good job

Just get a good condition b16 trans, check over the synchros throw a quaffe in it and roll I don't think there is any reason to spend extra money on cryo or anything just yet..

cyro helps, but will still break... get the circuitworx ring/pinion combo. really though another company has to start making these ring/pinions immediately
circuit is like running out of them...

anyone else sells them??? let me know!!!!

i am using redline mtl and shockproof gear oil mixed.
i have heard that the circuit worx stuff still breaks.no way in hell i am going to pay 1250 for something that is gonna break.besides,i think the tranny split first and caused the gears to break

try a tranny girdle https://honda-tech.com/zero...ge=45
only bad thing is you have to remove 5th so if it a street car then you might not want to use it
