Default bov whistle

I got a knock off greddy off ebay and right after it blows off it whistles. It whistles 3 times actually, 3 different pitches each lasting for about a full second. I havent had the time to closely examine everything but can this be caused by a bad bov or a minor leak somewhere? Anyone had this problem in the past?

There are people that would pay extra for that feature.

Try adjusting the screw on top, sounds like it might be to loose.

Or, he might have the Greddy Type-S knock off. He did say he had the Greddy knock off, and that is what the S does. It may blow off with the loud gush of air and than a high pitched whistle afterwards. It may blow off with just a whistle.

Right. It will give the RS sound and than the "signature" whistle. Or it will just give the whistle as I stated in my previous post.

Compressor surge isnt going to blow your seal right away, it take a long time. Said to shorten a turbo life but no proof yet
