need to know what causes a weird smell once I let off and the bov goes. once I spool and let off, I smell a funky odor. I'm not sure if it's exhaust or whatever, but it only happens when I let the bov go. I also don't have a hood at the moment so the smell may be more prominent because of that, but either way, I really want to know why that smell is there.

running an open loop setup? I've punched holes all thorugh my firewall running wires and stuff and when the wg cracks open, the fumes just love to funnel into the car. Its just part of the game.

I've always got my driver window open because of that. Now i have a habit of leaving my window open in ANY car. my gf is like, "close your window damnit"

 

I don't think the actual smell is coming from your bov unless there's stuff in your charge pipes or something coming from the turbo. I have air coming out of my bov when i rev the car by hand and it smells normal.

 

yah, it's kinda funky! But it only happens when I let off and let the bov go! I think I'm getting pretty high from it too!!! haha. Anyway, just curious, but if it's part of the game, I guess I'll have to live with it. I'm also driving without the hood right now, so do u think that plays any part in the smell? When I put the hood on, will it die down or will it still find a way into the cabin?

 

Maybe your passenger shitting his pants? I know when people get in my car not knowing what a turbo is and I hit fullboost and then blow off, they have an expression on their face like they just messed themselves..
