bov chatter, or is it compressor surge?
Over the past weekend I replaced my intercooler with a larger one along with the piping.
I used to have a 3'' 90 degree elbow coming off my turbo with the filter on the end. Well the way the new piping is ran i cant run my intake like that anymore so I have the filter just clamped onto the turbo. the problem is that my bov now sounds like it chatters when it goes off.
I know it's not because of the piping or intercooler because it did this before (thats why I installed the intake)..
Why would my bov chatter when I have no filter or just the filter attached to the turbo with no piping between?
It did this with my old bov (saab) and my new one. Is it something I should worrry about? Look into?

So why would it do it only when I have no intake? It's fine when I have a intake hooked up.

megan racing bov
It did this with my bosch bov too, so I know it's not the bov. I even adjusted it with no avail.
Vacuum source comes strait from the pcv valve so I know it's good.

YES.
I had this same problem with a different non-adjustable bov.
Works fine with 10'' intake pre turbo, makes chatter sound when I remove that piping and run a filter only or even with no filter.
This bov I'm using now, is adjusted correctly because it chattered when I first put it on, I adjusted it and the chatter went away. It has ran fine since then. That is until I remove that section of piping.
it's not the bov, nor is it the vacuum source. Thats why I'm baffled, both of those items have been addressed.
