Default Boosting- What gauges would work?

Hey guys. I'm boosting my 2.2cl in the summer and I am on the hunt for some gauges as we speak. I have a red car, and am going with a red theme throughout my car so I would like to find some red gauges to go along with the theme. I was going to get a boost gauge, A/F ratio gauge, and oil pressure gauge, maybe more in the future but that's the idea for now. I was wondering what companies are decently accurate and I can get these color schemes that don't cost an arm and a leg. I was looking into getting some HKS gauges from japan but the red ones look really bland and boring to me. Let me know, thx!

Edit-I also don't want a white face, looking for a black face one.

Here is a picture of a blitz that would possibly work. Lit up with some red is good

I said not an arm and a leg lol, which means unless the defi's go for less than 60 bucks a pop or so, I can't afford them. I was thinking used apexi gauges possibly, I just want to know what gauges are accurate that maybe be cheaper in price. I have no problem buyign used as well.

Yea, the blitz one I showed was only going for 6000yen (about 55 bucks) on the japan auction site but it's definitely not that cheap normally. I'm worried about autometers accuracy...

I need something accurate yet not ridiculous in price. I want to try and get all 3 gauges to be of the same style but when buying used it seems to be hard to find that unless they come in a package in an auction. Like I said, I'm getting better prices on alot of these used gauges over in japan so if anything is around 70 or less used here, I can probably get it from there for around 50-60 with fees and shipping included. I want to stick with apexi, blitz, defi, HKS, greddy, because I know these are all good reputable companies ith great accuracy. Are there any certain lines or models I should be looking at from these companies that have the red theme I'm looking for?

you can ask john at j-k-tuning. My autometer pro comp boost gauge is horribly inaccurate. It reads vacuum perfect, but the boost pressure is WAY off. I probably just got a shitty one. I would be boosting 11-13psi and it would read 7psi.

yea, autometer isn't an option for me, they just aren't that good. I was thinking about the blox cause they look real cool and have heard good things, but I want a black face on them, not white. I think it's going to hard finding 3 gauges that I need that are the same model used on ebay or yahoo japan auctions...

Has anyone worked with the megan racing gauges? The look from them is definitely what I'm going for, but I've heard some horror stories about a couple of their products before, like their headers...any feedback?

OK, Autometer's are only about 10x better then any Megan or Blox junk. You know what, make that 20x!

I have heard alot of bad things about autometer from various people. That's why I'd like to stick to the more expensive, but higher quality companies like apexi, blitz, defi, hks, greddy. I might just have to up the budget on these guages I guess..

Check out VDO gauges. They're used on Porsche's. Very cheap prices for these gauges. I paid 35 for my boost gauge. Check out http://www.42draftdesigns.com which is where I bought my gauges at. Cheaper than autometer and they're very accurate. My VDO boost gauge reads exactly the same as my Blitz DCT.

Don't listen to them, you will be fine. I have never heard of Autometer not repairing a faulty gauge. There customer service is usually top notch which is more then I can say for some of the high-end JDM brands.

not all the autometer gauges blow, its just because 99% of the people here buy the cheapest ones they sell (the ultra-lite i believe) they generally aren't of the best quality, however if you buy some of their more expensive gauges they do just fine...
